just the fact that u are doing phisical activity that you enjoy is a winning! i personally think is a lil bit too much of cardio. you need to incorporate some type of weight lifting in between, and make sure to take care of your fuel (what you eat) its natural to get hungrier when you work out, so eat, but eat healthy. good luck!

Is this a good cardio workout?

Question by Tom: Is this a good cardio workout?
My driveway is fairly steep, about 30 degrees, and about 200 feet long. Would sprinting up it and walk/jogging down it be a good cardiovascular workout? If so, how many times should I go up and down it? By the way, the reason I don’t just jog is that I need a semi-muscular leg workout too. Maybe this will help with that.

Answer by Amy H
That’s a pretty creative workout. Instead of just doing some random number of sets, why don’t you see how many times you can make it up and back in 5 minutes? That way you can really push yourself. I guarantee that will be much more impactful than just doing 8-10 sets at your own pace. You can start adding to it to make it more challenging and interesting. For example, maybe see how long it would take you to do five rounds of: 25 squats, sprint up the drive way, 10 push-ups, walk back down. You’re only limited by your imagination.

Good luck!

You can’t just exercise and the weight will come off. You need to take care of your body, eat better, get enough sleep, all that jazz in order to lose weight. Also are you doing it for you or others?

Edit:
That’s great! It’s really great that you are taking care of yourself and trying to get healthier. Yes exercisingor will definitely help you lose weight.

If you exercise, make sure to do it regularly (every day if possible). You could go to a gym or jog outside. Make sure to eat lots of fruits and vegetables and not much meat. And don’t eat junk food :)

I started doing ab exercises 4 days ago and my stomach still hurts. Is this normal?

Question by Homie D: I started doing ab exercises 4 days ago and my stomach still hurts. Is this normal?
The first/last time I did it was 4 days ago and my stomach still hurts. I didn’t do anything intense, really. I tried but I couldn’t. I think i did less than 100 laying down stuff like crunches, sit ups, and the thing where you pick your legs up and put them down over and over again.

How long is my stomach going to hurt?! :(

Best answer:

Answer by Austin
That happened to me but it only hurt like for 2 days.

is this a cardio workout or weight lifting workout?

Question by Billy Bob: is this a cardio workout or weight lifting workout?

q2: what should i eat after the workout?

i heard for cardio you should eat for at least an hour after the workout

Best answer:

Answer by Caring Breeze
This is mostly a weight lifting workout, but also has some cardio aspects to it. I would eat by hunger cues. If you are hungry start eating until you are not anymore. I hope this is helpful. All the stretches are cardio and anything with weights is not. Good luck!

Does this exercise stunt my growth?

Question by root beer: Does this exercise stunt my growth?
I’m 13, going t 9th grade and 6’4 i wanna grow 2-4 more inches cause i think can make it in basketball. I wanna know if doing 200 push ups, 200 ab exercises, and curling with 10 pound dumbbells a day while taking protein shakes everyday will stunt my growth will it?

Best answer:

Answer by Apfel Lieber
Well, you could do 200 pushups and ab exercises a day in addition to 10 pound dumbbell curls. But don’t be surprised when you rapidly plateau due to insufficient rest period between exercises.

And no, resistance training does not stunt growth.

Would this be considered a cardio workout?

Question by Rubluffin: Would this be considered a cardio workout?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHSa583n80Q

from 5:45-6:44 of the video.

also will it make my thighs and calves thicker?

thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by Tasha
That would be cardio. It would almost be like a irish dancing type of thing

It would tone your lower body. It depends on how much you do of it with other activity if it would build enough muscle to bulk you up

is this a good exercise to flatten/tone stomach?

Question by Jc: is this a good exercise to flatten/tone stomach?
would karate kicks be a good ab exercise? and even a good cardio exercise?

like front kicks
side kicks
round house kicks

if you did all of them (like 50 each, both legs. total of 300) would it be a good exercise? oh and not trying to get abs. just to have a flat toned stomach.

and if this is not a good toning exercise. why???

Best answer:

Answer by Mike Rollinger
“Toning” is overused gibberish. You can gain and lose muscle. That is pretty much it.

Doing Kicks of any type will force both your hip flexors and ab muscles to engage, giving them some growth stimulus.

However, I like your idea here. Learning the form of the Karate Kicks should be your first priority. The flat stomach will be a bonus :)
