I do spinning Tuesday Thursday’s Sunday’s and cross country running training in school the other days of the week should I do Ab exercises everyday to get a six pack? I have a lady 4 pack and I am 5’5 and 104 pounds and eat healthy I just don’t want to waste time when I could be doing homework..

All I own right now is a pair of 30-lb. dumbbells. I most want to bulk up and define my biceps, upper chest, calves, abs, and upper back. I don’t want to have skinny arms and legs with a small frame anymore. Right now I am 6’0 tall, thin, and 17 years old, and a boy. So name some equipment to buy to put at home! And if I MUST go to the gym to exercise one of these muscles, explain that as well. I don’t really need a routine from you guys, just what to buy.
I have a treadmill already too.

Lay on your back and lift your legs in the air instead of doing crunches or sit ups. That will eliminate strain on your neck and back.

I go to the gym regularly, i usually run for half an hour and then i get to my weight lifting, the problem i have is that my current weight lifting routine takes me between 2 and 3 HOURS, this is WAY too long, its taking away alot of my free time and makes it hard to plan times to go to the gym. i need a completely new detailed workout routine that will help me work Everything in about an hour and a half, can u help??

I’m not sure how advanced you are, or if this won’t be enough for you. But I’m using the Body For Life program’s weight training regimen. If you go to this page, it tells you their whole weight training format. There’s also a tab that shows demos, and videos. It takes me 45 mins to an hour. You can also download it.

You could put on some music and walk in place as fast as you can tolerate, later you could jog in place. I know you said no videos, but you could borrow different ones from the library until you find one you like. The one I like best is Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away the Pounds. I borrowed several from the library and eventually bought my own used copies on Ebay.

p90x is great. You can buy it, or just download it. You need weights and a chin up bar. It’s a great all around workout you can do in your basement.
Otherwise, maybe hire a personal trainer for a month to understand a basic workout routine then do that on your own.

I love P90X. Have done it several times. Here is a link in case you never heard of it. It isn’t easy but it does get results. You could just do the resistance workouts on days you don’t have the gym and replace the cardio days with your gym days.

I need a program/exercise that would give me the same workout that the pull-ups would since I have no way of doing pull-ups at home. I have tried those pull-up bars that you mount in a home doorway but they don’t work. Not really sturdy enough. I only weigh 210 lbs. so that’s not the issue.

Hey.
When looking for a substitute for pull-ups the best I could advise, and the best you could do would be to split the main muscle groups up and work on then individually.
These are (Workout in brackets):
-Biceps. (Dumbell curls)
-Back & Grip. (Bent over dumbell row)
-Stomach & Lower back. (Basic sit ups and crunches.)

I had ACL Reconstruction surgery back in December. Now that baseball season is over i want to start working out regularly, including cardio. Problem is im not 100% as u could expect. What kinda cardio workouts could i do that dont put too much pressure on the knee?

elliptical machines are like running but without the hard impact on the knees
also, spinning or bike riding are great options
