What jump rope routine would be good for a very unactive beginner?

I decided finally that I want to change my lifestyle. I never been active at all, never sports, so im very new. I had this jump rope for 2 years, but never used it much. I don’t want to work out so hard I’ll be discouraged to try again. That mistake I made when trying to jog.

Hello, friends.


If you want to play along at home, google BMR calculator and put in your stats. Then check out the Harris Benedict equation and multiply that number by your activity level. Then take that number and subtract it, add in the food you eat and subtract the activity you do (i use fitday) and presto, mystery solved.

What’s the best free online food journaling site?

I am looking for a website to journal my daily food intake. It needs to be free. I need to be able to view calories, fat, carbs, and fiber for every food item – in chart form, hopefully. Other charts and tracking info would be helpful. I also need to be able to input food items that are not in their database. I would like to be able to create recipes and all one serving of the recipe to the food log.

I have tried FitDay but it does not show you fiber content (except for daily total).

What do you recommend?

How much does the nutritional content in food change when you cook it? Fat?

I thought that generally things like vegetables lose vitamins when they’re cooked. However, I am surprised when using this food calculator online (fitday.com), where one cup of cooked carrots has 2 grams more of fat than 1 cup of raw carrots. Are they assuming that people add oil or butter to the carrots when they cook them? Or is there some chemical change that happens when you cook foods to raise their fat contents?

What websites or software programs help you track your actual daily sodium intake?

One good example that I’ve found is the diet tracker on fitday.com, but tracking sodium is not very easy via that site.
