What are some good weight lifting and workout routines?

I just recently bought a weight set. It has the ability to do bench and inclined bench press, butterflyes, a leg lifter thing, dumbells where I can add as much weight as I want, and a thing where you can put your arms to use a curling bar (I also bought a curling bar). I also bought an excercise ball to help me do sit-ups and push-ups. Anyone know any or know of a website that can help me get started on a weight lifting and workout routine? Greatly appreciated.

What are some good dumbbell workout routines?

I had found my dad’s old bench and dumbbells and i can’t find a good and effective workout routine. Any body know a good workout or a website that will help me?

What is the best way to double or increase your vertical jump development? Drills? Routines? Workout?

I want to increase my vertical jump really badly. What are some workout, routines, or drills that can help me do this? I’m trying to make the basketball team and would love to double my vertical leap. What about those shoes? Do they work?

exercise bike – weight, fitness at 145lb, 16 year old male.?

got the machine 2 weeks ago and i have been using it everyday since. most of the days i use it for about 20 minutes buring 1600 calories. somedays i burn about 1000 calories in about 14 minutes. the speed at average is 17mph, sometimes 20mph, even 23mph for small bursts.

one thing before we go on… it says 16.00 calories and it starts off at .00 … i take it that means 1600 calories?

my calorie intake is about 1500 per day. i play football (soccer) 3 times a week – two training sessions at 1hr30 mins each and then a match on weekend at 90 minutes.

my weight is 145lb, i’m 16 and a half years old. i’m a male. however, i have a tiny bit of puppy fat and i want to lose it.

is this the way to do it? should i keep it up? for how long?

and will it get me super fit?

by the way, i do about 6 miles most of the time for burning at 1600 calories at 17mph at least.

it’s also most of the time on the top notch of the bike (weight), which is 8. sometimes during the session i put it on 5 to start off with and then 5 during the middle of it and then back to 8 to finish it off.
sorry, one more thing,

each session is non-stop!

my pulse is always around 118 at the end of each session according to the bike. is that good yeah?

thanks for the replies so far. i don’t eat any junk food at all. i drink 2 litres of water a day.

the bike starts at 0.00, 0.01, .02 .03 .04 .05 etc. etc. that couldn’t be only 0.1 of a calorie could it? can’t be, i’m totally confused now haha.
