Michele Lost 89 Pounds

Michelle Fritts, 25, from Rockville, MD

Weight Lost: 89 pounds

I wrote down everything I ate as well as the calories, and did a combination of cardio and weight-lifting at the gym almost daily. Sometimes, I’d just go for a walk or do toning exercises in my office during lunch to squeeze in whatever exercise I could!

Top Tip: Find support from a network of people who are also living a healthy life. I found mine in my boyfriend and coworkers, as they were either dieting right along with me, or at least working on living a healthier lifestyle.

Woman loses 84 pounds: See her Before and After Weight Loss Pictures

Sometimes the hardest part of making a big change is getting motivated. Which is why we’ve found 10 seriously inspiring women who have lost anywhere from 84 to 206 pounds. Their weight-loss secret? Good old-fashioned healthy eating and exercising.

Martha Price, 52, from Stoneham, MA

Weight Lost: 84 pounds

I started working with a weight-loss coach at Healthy Fit for Women in Woburn, MA. The key was slowly making changes in the way I ate, which eventually led to permanent habits. I used to think I was eating “healthy” foods, but my portions were way too large, not to mention packed with sugar. I started eating breakfast, then tried to eat five small meals a day, every three hours, instead of larger ones later in the day. I now pay more attention to food labels and allow myself the occasional indulgence to keep cravings at bay.

Top Tip: Create accountability for yourself—try keeping a journal to keep track of the food and calories you are eating each day.

what are good lower ab exercises?

an excellent exercise you can do it at home in front of your TV:
Attach a couple of ankle weights to your ankles.
Lay down on the floor or any other hard
surface. Use an exercise rug so as not to bruise your spine off the
floor. Put your hands behind your head, or spread them wide. Lift
your legs perpendicular to the floor, stop for a second. Lower the
legs down. Repeat ten times, stop. Turn on your stomach, raise on
your hands, with the lower part of the body on the floor, as if
trying to look at the ceiling. Turn back, do another set. Do three
sets with ten repetitions every day. In a week, you should see the
results. Once you are used to the exercise, and your muscles won’t
get stronger anymore, add weight to your ankle weights. Remember:
repeating the same easy exercise many times won’t help. Do it only
with the weights. Simple leg raises do not work. Use weights,
they do wonders. Stretch your spine between repetitions. Be careful
not to go for too heavy weight at once. Do not increase the weights
continuously, stop when your abs are defined – too heavy weights
will lead to injuries.

Trust me, follow this and you will loose a considerable amount of weight within 3 months.

Eat less between main meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). Seriously, if you’re hungry, buckle up. This will force your body to use the fat as a source of energy rather than rely on you to eat too much and deposit more fat into reserves.

Exercise more. If you burn off more calories than you eat, you will loose weight.

Don’t sit around all day watching TV, playing X-BOX, or sitting at a computer. Take up a hobby, like cross country, cycling, etc

Believe it or not stress is a exercise, bear this in mind.

If your family want to help you, they’ll support you by taking you to a gym if you want to go to one. It’s not weird to go to the gym if your a teenager, where I live plenty of teenagers go to the gym. Just run on a treadmill for thirty mins whilst listening to your ipod or doing a reading assignment.

Drink more water, this will speed up your metabolism (which will mean your body will burn through fat quick)

Drink less soda.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have breakfast. Cereal is good. It will wake up your metabolism and as soon as you eat your bowl of cereal or toast, even once your digestive system processes it, your body will begin to burn through fat. It speeds up the process.

Healthy food: VEGETABLES, SALAD, ANYTHING WITH LESS THAN 200 CALORIES,

Exercise: RUN, not walk, for 20 mins and lift some weights you can manage every other day.

PS: Don’t use supplements, that’s insanely unhealthy, because they’re not real food. It’s better if you start a diet of food which contains more protein, less fat, etc and what the supplements have because you will get into a routine of eating those foods, but if you eat your normal diet – what you eat now, and take supplements, your tricking your body, and as soon as you stop taking those supplements – which are quite costly in fact – you will have the same problem again. Isn’t it better and more logical to spend that money on a real diet instead which will come out cheaper than processed food and junk and pop + supplements but will give you more nutrients, and taste a whole load better too?

Good Luck!

just the fact that u are doing phisical activity that you enjoy is a winning! i personally think is a lil bit too much of cardio. you need to incorporate some type of weight lifting in between, and make sure to take care of your fuel (what you eat) its natural to get hungrier when you work out, so eat, but eat healthy. good luck!

Can a person undo cardio work by lifting weights during the same workout?

Question by wyldflwr34: Can a person undo cardio work by lifting weights during the same workout?
I’ve heard it said that a person can undo the good they are doing by a good cardio work out – if they go after that and lift weights…in the same time period. Is that true?

Best answer:

Answer by Nico W
No and yes. You can’t undo the fat loss since weights also make you lose fat
However, cardio deteriorates muscles and weights increase them which negates muscle loss and growth so you’ll stay the same muscle wise that is. Yes you’ll lose fat still

How’s My Weight Loss Exercise Routine?

Question by Ronald C: How’s My Weight Loss Exercise Routine?
So as you can tell by the title I want to loss weight. I’ve lost 85 pound in about a year by doing MMA Training but I really feel like my body has gotten use to the routine at the gym. So my new routine is Mon, Wed, Fri I do Weight training working on Chest and Biceps on Monday, Legs and Shoulders on Wed and Back and Triceps on Fri. Also before I do any weight lifting I do 30 to 40 min of Stationary Bike Training changing the levels every five min. Then on Tues, Thurs and Saturday I do Tabata / Interval Training which is ten rounds of 30 sec work 30 sec rest when I do work I turn the bike on the highest level and when I rest I turn it half way down. Also on the days I do Tabata/ Interval I also do three, three min rounds of heavy bag work right after my interval. I’m also very carefully about my calorie intake I stick to a 2000 calorie a day intake. I’m currently 5″8 245 I want to get down to 190 one day but for now my goal is 200 by July is this possible and what do you think of my routine?

Best answer:

Answer by Hi H
